  2. Troubleshooting attempts you’ve made?
    We have several of these systems so have tried multiple Raspberry Pi 4s, and camera kits (in case of a crimped cable or similar). No change

  3. What help do you need?
    Advice on how to pin down this error. We have four of these stereo camera kits and they are urgently required for a project.

I have now tested on this several more Raspberry Pi 4s, but also on the legacy OS (with raspistill etc).

Does anybody have any ideas? We have four kits and they are all not working - with the same error. They show up as supported and detected using vcgencmd get_camera…

On Bullseye you should use the libcamera-still command.

raspistill was a last resort - we tried rolling back the Pi drivers to see if this might work.

However, libcamera-still -t 0 etc also does not work. I will provide the full information you request below.

We had assumed that this product was different to the Jetson Nano version (as it has a different product code) - however, we tried and it works on Jetson Nano. Is this expected?

Any error messages?

Yes the RPI version of the Stereo HAT is different from the Jetson version, but you said your version is B0265R, which is the Raspberry Pi version.

You can try the following, in versions after Raspberry Pi SD Card image 01/28 (kernel version greater than 5.10.92), edit /boot/config.txt and make the following changes:

  1. Modify camera_auto_detect=1 to
    camera_auto_detect=0
  2. Add the following lines under the [all] tag:
    dtoverlay=imx477

After modification, reboot the Raspberry Pi and use libcamera-still to access the camera.
