Libcamera support for IMX477

Hi I am trying to use the
AC-B0262 Arducam 12MP IMX477 camera on a raspberry pi zero 2 W. I have followed this thread 12mp IMX477 IR-Cut not working and got the camera at least detected by the OS on /dev/video0 by putting the rpi-config camera into legacy mode enabled. However I am unable to use the camera with any of the libcamera utilities.

sudo vcgencmd get_camera
supported=1 detected=1, libcamera interfaces=0

On the bullseye OS, the camera should have just “worked” via libcamera. I tested with another much older camera and it connected with libcamera immediately.

I would like to check if there is a way to get this camera working with libcamera which is the main driver for cameras going forward and the rpi-config is deprecated.

Hi,
If you want to use this camera module on Buster OS or legacy camera stack, unfortunately, it may not be able to work on them which needs the validating and encrypting.
