My partner and I are trying to simply connect a camera to the raspberry pi 5. with this process we got two different cameras and we have no luck. it does not show up at all in the raspi configuration.

the current camera we are using is the Arducam for Raspberry Pi and it is the imx519. we are using the Bookworm OS. we followed the protocol on their website: 16MP IMX519 - Arducam Wiki but ran into a permissions issue with the command: ./install_pivariety_pkgs.sh -p libcamera_apps
we have added the camera to the config files. we have tried using both Cam0 and Cam1. we have updated and upgraded the pi.
Any guidance is greatly appreciated
