IMX477 on Intel NUC 12

Please advice on how to install IMX477 on Intel Nuc 12.

It’s not possible.
You can connect it to a Pi and stream this to any device. Or buy a usb-dev-kit, there is no mipi port and no drivers and no tuning on any x86 system for this camera.

Thanks Raphael. I connected the IMX477 (motorized focus) camera to my NUC 12 and was able to see video images with no problem.

But the problem is I cannot use the motorized focus to change zoom in and out.

There ought to be a way to change the focus on the camera.

I’m more than surprised, do you use a usb-adapter or how did you manage to connect it ?

Hi Raphael. There is a us adapter. Here are the links:

I can use cv2 or v4l2 commands to capture an image like:

v4l2-ctl --set-ctrl=focus_automatic_continuous=100

v4l2-ctl --device /dev/video0 --stream-mmap --stream-to=output.jpg --stream-count=1

the focus_automatic_continuous command does not work but the image is captured.

Ah, yes that is basically a dev board, I don’t know if any of those do support AF

Hi.

What if I use a IMX519 ( Arducam 16MP IMX519 Motorized Focus USB 3.0 Camera Module ) ?

Do you think that would work with an Intel NUC and Ubuntu 22? Would focusing work ?

Hi,
If you are interested in this camera module, I suggest that you can contact [email protected] for further information.
