Is the Jetvariety IMX230 supported on the Jetson Orin Nano (8GB Dev kit version)?
The camera is not detected on either CAM0 or CAM1 after installing using the the ./install_full.sh -m arducam process. ls /dev/video* returns no results.
The install script runs successfully and installs the arducam-nvidia-l4t-kernel-t234-nano-5.10.120-tegra-35.4.1-20230809074912_arm64.deb, which appears to be the correct one for my JetPack 5.1.2/L4T 35.4.1 version.
The ArduCam Wiki is a little contradictory when indicating support or lack thereof for the IMX230.
This page also mentions “Jetvariety” should work and explicitly lists IMX230. The Nvidia-Jetson-Camera/Introduction-to-Arducam-Jetson-Cameras/ page also mentions “Jetvariety” as supported on the Orin Nano.
The above documentation is also consistent with the Orin Nano/NX Quick Start Guide: Quick start - Arducam Wiki
However, the Jetvariety Quick Start Guide contradicts both the above documents in the Abstract, stating this guide is intended for the Jetson Nano and Xavier NX platforms.
The sales page doesn’t include the Jetson Nano/NX because we decided to gradually end support for these two platforms and actively maintain the new Nvidia Jetson devices, aka the Jetson Orin series. That’s why the sales page only mentions that the camera modules work for Jetson Orin Nano/NX.
We are not giving up the support for the Jetson Nano/NX completely right now, so we keep the quick start guide for them. Moreover, I think we should have noted that in the Abstract.
