Hello everyone,
I’m attempting to run two Arducam IMX519 autofocus cameras simultaneously on my NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit, but I can only get one of them to work at a time. When I connect a single camera to CAM0, it functions perfectly. However, once I attach both cameras, I see a black screen for a few seconds and then the GUI crashes.
1. System Configuration
- Board - Nvidia Jetson Orin Nano Engineering Reference Developer Kit Super
- Jetpack SDK Version - 6.2
- L4T version - 36.4
- Linux Kernel - 5.15.148-tegra
- Camera - Arducam imx519 16mp autofocus
2. Driver Installation
I’ve installed the tegracam driver (v2.0.6) as recommended in my last post:
3. With both cameras connected, the system sees two video nodes:
$ ls /dev/video*
/dev/video0 /dev/video1
$ v4l2-ctl --list-devices
NVIDIA Tegra Video Input Device (platform:tegra-camrtc-ca):
/dev/media0
vi-output, imx519 10-001a (platform:tegra-capture-vi:1):
/dev/video1
vi-output, imx519 9-001a (platform:tegra-capture-vi:2):
/dev/video0
4. Kernel Messages
When both cameras are plugged in, dmesg reports:
$ sudo dmesg | grep imx

5. Startup Screenshots

7. What I’ve Tried
- Swapping camera ribbons between CAM0 and CAM1
- Rebuilding and reinstalling the tegracam driver
- Testing each camera individually (both work fine solo)
Thank you in advance for any guidance or suggestions!
