B0444 and Pi4 unable to work with Pi 4 w bookworm

I’m having identical issues to /t/imx462-camera-is-not-recognized/6920. Followed the quick start guide. New Pi 4, bought several B0444s. Firmware is 0x10002. Same thing about showing up as a imx290 when I try to force it. Installed fresh image today with Pi Imager.

Installed 64bit and 32bit bookworm. Turned i2c on/off, saw device on i2c as imx290. Enabled/disabled uart. enabled/disabled autodetect camera.

The same camera works on an Pi zero 2W with bookworm without issues that I setup a month or two ago. I tried multiple cables. I’ve flashed microsd card with 32bit and 64bit variants.

There is video0 with ls/dev/video0, but when I do libcamera-still --list-cameras, there are no cameras available. I’ve played with disabling uart, camera auto detect, enabling i2c with many variations. I’ve seen that the arducam libcamera has been updated in the last month or so, I tried updating but same issue.

After spending 6+ hours on it, I just flashed the Pi 4 to bullseye and the Pi 4 worked similar to the Pi Zero 2W
