  8. What help do you need?
    Determine parameters of the sensor and lens

I need parameters of the sensor and lens to do some calculations to check whether this camera will fit my use case but I cannot make sense of the stated parameters.
It says that the sensor used is IMX217, the stated diagonal FOV is 175 Deg, effective focal length is 2.5mm.

The sensor’s diagonal is 4.6mm.

Assuming stereographic projection:
half_diagonal = 2 * focal_length * tan(half_fov / 2)
This gives us:
4.6mm / 2 = 2 * 2.5mm * tan((175Deg / 2 / 2))
2.3mm = 5mm * tan(43.75Deg)
2.3mm = 5mm * tan(43.75 * pi / 180)
2.3mm = 5mm * 0.96
2.3mm = 4.8mm ← Which is not close at all, so what gives? What’s wrong? What are the parameters or what mistakes I am making?

@prrhh

You are right, this value is indeed wrong, thanks for your feedback, we will correct it immediately.

However, the specific information needs to be re-measured, and the document will be updated in about 3-4 days.
