Arducam IMX519 install fails on Jetson Orin Nano: missing deb package for kernel 5.15.148

Hey everyone, I’m trying to get my Arducam 16MP IMX519 Autofocus working on a Jetson Orin Nano but hitting a wall with the driver install. Running the install script like this:

./install_full.sh -m imx519

But it bombs out with:

Cannot find the corresponding deb package, please send the following information to [email protected]

Anyone else seen this? What info do they actually need?

That error means the script couldn’t match your kernel version against any of our pre-built driver packages in the repository. Can you share a few details about your setup? Specifically:

  • Your full kernel version (run uname -r)
  • Which Jetson board you’re on
  • L4T and JetPack versions

That should be enough to figure out what’s going on.

Sure thing, here’s what I’m running:

  • Board: NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano Engineering Reference Developer Kit Super
  • Kernel: 5.15.148-tegra-36.4.7-20250918154033
  • L4T: 36.4.7 (R36 release)
  • JetPack: 6.2+ (flashed through SDK Manager)
  • Camera: Arducam 16MP IMX519 Autofocus

Hoping that helps narrow it down.

Thanks, that makes the issue pretty clear. The problem is that kernel build timestamp — 20250918154033. The install script looks for a pre-built deb package that matches your exact kernel version string, including that timestamp, and none of our existing packages carry that particular build stamp.

In other words, NVIDIA must have released this specific kernel build (from September 18, 2025) after our last round of pre-compiled driver packages were published, or it’s a less common variant. The board identifier t234 (Orin Nano) narrows it down, but the timestamp just doesn’t line up with anything we have in the repo right now.

Ah, that makes sense. So am I out of luck? Is there any way to get a compatible package for this kernel, or do I need to roll back to an older L4T release?

No need to roll back — I’ve gone ahead and built a custom deb package targeting your exact kernel: 5.15.148-tegra-36.4.7 on the t234 (Jetson Orin Nano). This was freshly compiled today so the build timestamp will be different from what the script expects, but it’s matched to your kernel ABI.

I’ve sent you the download link and package details through private message — please check your inbox. Once you’ve got it, you’ll install it manually rather than through the script.

Got the PM, thanks! Downloaded the deb. Just to confirm before I run it — I should use dpkg -i directly, right? Anything else I need to do before or after?

Yep, straightforward install. Once you’ve downloaded the deb file, just run:

sudo dpkg -i arducam-nvidia-l4t-kernel-t234-nx-5.15.148-tegra-36.4.7-20251030171930_arm64_imx519.deb

That should drop the kernel module and device tree bits into place. After the install completes, I’d recommend a reboot to make sure everything loads clean. Then you can verify the camera with something like:

ls /dev/video*

or fire up a capture with v4l2-ctl or the Arducam demo app. Let us know how it goes — if the kernel module loads but the camera still doesn’t show up, we can dig into dmesg.
