Hi, I’m working with the UC-923 camera module (rev.C) and I’m trying to figure out whether the XVS and FStrobe signals are available on the buckle of the elastic band that comes off the camera.
Even if they aren’t actually routed on the UC-923 module laminate down to the testpoints, could you tell me which pins they would be associated with? I just need the pin mapping for XVS and FStrobe on the buckle/the elastic band connector so I know where I’d be probing.
Quick thing on FStrobe first: that pin does not currently open/expose the signal, so you won’t get FStrobe out of it.
For XVS it’s a bit more complicated — whether that pin opens the signal depends on the exact camera type/SKU you have. The UC-923 board rev is not enough on its own to tell, since the routing differs between the camera variants.
Can you do one of the following so we can pin down which camera you actually have?
Tell me the SKU of your camera, or
Send pictures of the camera, both the back and the front.
Once we know the type we can tell you whether the XVS pin on the camera you bought opens the signal or not.
I don’t have the SKU handy, but here are photos of the camera board front and back. Hope these help identify it.
The board is labeled “Rev.C”, and there’s a testpoint right next to the “Rev.C” string that’s routed into the socket. Not sure if that one is related to XVS or not.

Front and back are both here, plus a close-up of the area around the “Rev.C” marking and the socket.
Thanks for the photos, those were exactly what we needed. Based on the board revision and layout we’ve identified your camera.
Here’s the situation for this specific model:
This camera does NOT support the pin XVS for external trigger signals.
The camera does support external trigger mode, but it works by transferring the trigger signal onto the XVS pin — so if you were hoping to use XVS as a dedicated external trigger input on the buckle, that particular function is not available on this model.
So to summarize what you asked originally: FStrobe does not open the signal on that pin, and XVS as an external trigger input is not supported on this camera.
For reference, the supported capabilities for this module are listed here — worth checking before you route anything on your carrier:
If your design needs a true external trigger line broken out to the buckle, let me know and we can look at which other module variant would route it for you.
