Hi all. I’m putting together a custom PCB that stacks onto a Raspberry Pi Zero, and I also have an Arducam stereo setup running on the same Pi. The camera side works — I’m using the Multi-Camera Adapter Doubleplexer Stereo Module V2 for Raspberry Pi Zero / 3 B+ / 4. My problem is I can’t find a clear pin map for the adapter. I need to know which pins it uses so my custom board doesn’t step on the same lines and cause a conflict. Anyone know where the pin usage for this board is documented?
Hey, welcome. Just to point you at the right docs — can you confirm the exact adapter? Sounds like the Doubleplexer Stereo Module V2. And the host is a Raspberry Pi Zero, not the Zero 2 or another model?
Correct, it’s the Doubleplexer Stereo Module V2, and the host is a Raspberry Pi Zero. The camera multiplexer itself is working fine, I just need the pin usage so I can lay out my custom PCB without reusing those pins.
Got it. For this board the pin usage is covered in the ArduCAM RaspberryPi GitHub repo. The relevant folder is Multi Camera Adapter > Multi_Adapter_Board_2Channel_uc444:
That’s the reference Arducam points to for the Doubleplexer/Stereo module pin usage question, so start there and you should be able to see which header pins the adapter ties into.
Thanks. One thing I want to be sure about before I design around it — is the uc444 board actually the right match for the V2 Doubleplexer? I don’t want to build my PCB against the wrong schematic.
Yep, the Multi Adapter Board 2 Channel uc444 is the reference for the Doubleplexer/Stereo V2 module — that folder is what Arducam points to for this exact pin usage question. I’d go through the header/connection details in that repo and cross-check them against your actual board before finalizing the PCB, but that’s the correct starting point. If anything in there doesn’t line up with the hardware in front of you, post back and we can dig further.
