Hi everyone, I’ve got an Arducam B0506 and I’m trying to mount it but I can’t figure out what size screws I need for the mounting holes. Does anyone know the hole size or what screw is recommended? I’ve been digging through the datasheet but I couldn’t find any hole size info in there.
Thanks for posting. Just to make sure I’m looking at the right board, can you confirm the exact model printed on it? You mentioned B0506 - is that what’s on the module itself? Also, are you asking about the lens mount screws specifically, or the holes for mounting the whole board?
Yeah, it’s the B0506, that’s what’s printed on the module. I mainly need the lens mount screw size since I need to put a screw in there. I went through the datasheet again and there’s really nothing about hole dimensions at all.
Right, that checks out. I reviewed the B0506 datasheet as well and the screw hole dimensions aren’t documented in there - that’s why you couldn’t find them. Let me check the mechanical drawings for the board.
Okay, found it. The lens mount on the B0506 uses M1.7*8mm screws. If you want to verify the hole size yourself, there’s also a 3D STEP model on the Arducam site you can open to see the exact hole dimensions: https://www.arducam.com/downloads/3D_Model/B0506.STEP
That’s exactly what I needed, thanks! I’ll pick up some M1.7*8mm screws. The 3D drawing helped confirm it too.
Glad that sorted it out. For anyone else landing on this thread later: the B0506 lens mount screw size is M1.7*8mm, and the 3D STEP model linked above shows the hole dimensions if you want to check them yourself.
