    I cannot preview or capture images with either camera using Raspbian Bullseye. The switch to libcamera and Python 3 has broken sample code (e.g. https://github.com/ArduCAM/RaspberryPi/tree/master/Multi_Camera_Adapter/Multi_Adapter_Board_4Channel). Despite making changes to python code (originally written for Python 2) including updates to use libcamera I cannot switch cameras or capture images.

Note: I have been able to capture images with Raspbian Buster. So, hardware set up should be correct. I’d prefer to not run older version of the OS. I’d like to use

  1. Troubleshooting attempts you’ve made?

I have tried updating various /boot/config.txt parameters. Current settings I have:

dtparam=sd_poll_once is because I am running from USB SSD (not microSD card)

I have enabled camera and i2c using raspi-config

I’ve confirmed camera is detected:
vcgencmd get_camera
supported=1 detected=0
(from research on the web moving to libcamera detected=0 is expected; I could be wrong)

I’ve checked the adapter and cameras are detected on i2c bus:

Yes, Now raspberrypi has relesase new firmware Raspbian Bullseye, which has delete the raspistill tool.
Raspberry Pi is transitioning from a legacy camera software stack based on proprietary Broadcom GPU code to an open-source stack based on libcamera. So it can’t support the original software framework. Now we can’t use opencv to capture image streaming from the video0 node, which node is used for libcamera. Now we are waiting the official provide a new way about how to using opencv framework.
