Upgraded Pan-tilt platform kit for Raspberry Pi Camera servos twitching

  1. Where did you get the camera module(s)?
    Kickstarter

  2. Model number of the product(s)?
    B0283

  3. What hardware/platform were you working on?
    Raspberry pi 4 8gb

  4. Instructions you have followed. (link/manual/etc.)
    All of them

  5. Problems you were having?
    Twichthing over long-term periods

  6. The dmesg log from your hardware?
    No need

  7. Troubleshooting attempts you’ve made?
Different power sources - all same

  8. What help do you need?
Look at the video: Gardencress with pan-tilt-autofocus camera - YouTube

So, this is the kickstarter’s version of the 16mp camera with the added pan-tilt-kit. It is mostly stable, but as you can see on the video, over long periods, the servos twitch. The code for running the servos might be running or not, the result is the same - the camera twitches over the hours.

The video is filmed once a minute, with 120fps.

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply.
We will carry out the experiment with B0283 today and inform you immediately when we
make some progress.

Any progress on this one? It’s been a year!

Now I am preparing my rig to upgrade to a Raspberry Pi 5 and realized that the newer kernels don’t show my camera anymore, so I am not sure if I should even bother with them or move to raspberry pi cameras.
