Hi everyone, I’m trying to get an Arducam camera working on my Jetson setup but I’m stuck at the driver install step. When I run the installer it stops with “Cannot find the corresponding deb package” and nothing gets installed. Has anyone run into this before?
Hi, sorry you’re hitting that. To narrow it down, could you share a bit more about your setup? Which Jetson module and carrier board are you using, and what kernel version is currently running? Also, which camera model and driver installer are you trying?
Sure. It’s an Orin NX module on a CTI Hadron carrier board. Kernel version is 5.10.120-tegra-35.4.1-CTI-ORIN-NX-NANO-V013-20240708. I’m running the standard Arducam driver installer and it fails while looking for a matching deb package.
Thanks, that’s helpful. The key thing here is that the CTI Hadron + Orin NX is a third-party carrier board. Arducam’s driver packages are built and matched against the official NVIDIA dev kits, so the installer can’t find a prebuilt deb for your exact kernel/build string. That’s very likely why you’re seeing “Cannot find the corresponding deb package”.
Because a third-party carrier board is involved, Arducam can’t confirm from here whether the problem is the camera itself or the hardware platform. The most likely root cause is incompatibility between the Arducam camera and the CTI Hadron carrier board / dev board, not necessarily a fault in the camera.
The cleanest way to isolate this is to test the camera on an official Arducam development kit. If it works there, the camera is fine and the issue is with the CTI Hadron platform. If it doesn’t work on the official kit either, reach out to [email protected] with the details and they can take it further.
Got it, so it’s probably the third-party board rather than the camera itself. I’ll test the camera on the official Arducam dev kit and, if it fails there too, contact support. Thanks for the help!
Exactly. Arducam can’t confirm camera issues on third-party hardware platforms, so validation on the official dev kit is the step that separates a camera problem from a board compatibility problem. Please keep us posted on what you find once you test it on the official kit.
