Unable to Detect IMX477 on Jetson Orin Nano Dev Kit

   Jetson Orin Nano Dev Kit

5. Problems you were having?
   Unable to find /dev/video*, no output from v4l2-ctl.
   Already selected IMX477 Dual for csi header config

6. The dmesg log from your hardware?
   don’t have any now since latch broken

7. Troubleshooting attempts you’ve made?
   I was suspecting cable issue, turned back and forth on the side, still not detecting, because i was moving the cable a lot, broken the latch on the csi header … gonna get tape for temp fix.

8. What help do you need?
   How to setup the camera correctly? Was there issue with how I attach the cable up/down?

From the attached photo, the CSI cable is seated correctly on both sides in terms of orientation. However, an interesting fact is that the cable is seated above the black latch… It’s the very problem huhhhh

Let me know if your Jetson can detect the camera after adjusting the position of the cable.

The photo showed was one of the later installation. I’ve inserted under the latch too, was not working either. (didn’t take photo)

This is the correct setup if anyone else run into the same issue.

Blue ribbon facing up (away from board)
Blue ribbon facing up (same as where the camera is pointing at)

I think even chatgpt/claude is incorrect on this matter, had to test out all combinations to reach the correct answer.
