Hi,
I am trying to get an Arducam Jetvariety camera working on a Jetson Orin NX and hitting an error that I haven’t been able to resolve. I am new to working with Arducam, but I haven’t found any other threads about this issue. Thanks in advance.
Hardware:
- Camera sensor board: Arducam UC-B54 Rev D
- Camera FPGA board: Arducam UC-B70 Rev B
- Ribbon cable: Arducam UC-376 (22-pin to 15-pin)
- Jetson module: NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX
- Carrier board: Seeed Studio
- Connection: CSI ribbon into CAM0
Software:
- JetPack / L4T: R36 Release 3.0 (R36.3)
- Kernel: 5.15.136-tegra
- Arducam driver installed: arducam-nvidia-l4t-kernel-t234-nx-5.15.136-tegra-36.3.0-20240521161750_arm64.deb
- Overlay selected: tegra234-p3767-camera-p3768-arducam-dual.dtbo (only Arducam option that was provided to me after running /opt/arducam/jetson-io/jetson-io.py)
Troubleshooting I have tried:
- Installed the Arducam Jetvariety driver .deb from the arducam_links.txt file matching my exact kernel version
- Ran /opt/arducam/jetson-io/jetson-io.py and selected the Arducam dual overlay (only Arducam option that I could select)
- Rebooted many times!
Current result:
lsmod shows arducam_csi2 is loaded.
dmesg:
arducam-csi2 9-000c: arducam_read: Reading register 0x103 failed
arducam-csi2 9-000c: probe failed
arducam-csi2 9-000c: Failed to setup board.
arducam-csi2 10-000c: arducam_read: Reading register 0x103 failed
arducam-csi2 10-000c: probe failed
arducam-csi2 10-000c: Failed to setup board.
Manual i2ctransfer also fails:
$ sudo i2ctransfer -y 9 w2@0x0c 0x01 0x03 r1
Error: Sending messages failed: Remote I/O error
ls /dev/video* returns: No such file or directory
Some questions that I think would help:
- Is UC-B70 Rev B supported with this driver version and JetPack R36.3?
- What FPGA firmware version does UC-B70 Rev B require?
- Is there a specific overlay or driver for the UC-B70 + UC-B54 combination?
- Does the Seeed Studio carrier board prevent this camera from working/is there a workaround?
Thank you, and please let me know if I missed anything.
