Hi, I was if this product has the IR filter built in to the m12 lens/lens assembly, or is it something that is glued to the sensor itself and is harder to remove?

Hi, the IR filter is not glued to the sensor, and actually almost all Arducam cameras with m12 lens have the IR filter on the bottom of lenses. You could alter the IR sensitive either by replacing the default one with a lens without IR filter, or remove the IR filter on the bottom with a heat gun or something like that. But as the seller, we would prefer the former. Even if the filter is somehow on the lens holder, you can also change it by replacing the lens assembly as a whole.
