Running the example code, I get a strong flickering and some fixed horizontal bars.
Is it a camera defect?
Please run the command below:
dpkg -l |grep -i arducam
Then give us the output in the terminal.
We have just updated arducam-tof-sdk to 0.1.1 and worry about the problem is caused by the software upgrade. Then we try to reproduce your condition on our side. It worked well =.=
Raspberry pi 4 + fresh OS install + arducam-tof-sdk 0.1.1
Then we get back to your problem, we can give you these potential cause.
The flex cable is not seated stable on the Raspberry Pi’s end or Tof camera’s end. Please check the hardware connection carefully.
The cable is defective. If you have another15-15 pin flex cable, please change the original to it and give it a try.
I tried 3 different flex cables and nothing changes. Still the strips and the flickering.
Additionally, I tried with another raspberry and rechecked couple of time the connections and still the same failures.
Please contact Amazon after service([email protected]) for replacement. You can add this thread in the email. I would like to know if the replacement will work fine.
Looking forward to your feedback.
Hello there, I didn’t get the replacement yet but I bought another module and it works fine. So i guess it was definitelly a hardware defect.
Got it! Have you received the replacement so far?
