ToF flickering and horizontal bars issue

Official Sdk installation + fresh OS install.

Running the example code, I get a strong flickering and some fixed horizontal bars.

Is it a camera defect?

We have just updated arducam-tof-sdk to 0.1.1 and worry about the problem is caused by the software upgrade. Then we try to reproduce your condition on our side. It worked well =.=

Then we get back to your problem, we can give you these potential cause.

  • The flex cable is not seated stable on the Raspberry Pi’s end or Tof camera’s end. Please check the hardware connection carefully.

  • The cable is defective. If you have another15-15 pin flex cable, please change the original to it and give it a try.

Dear Dion,

I tried 3 different flex cables and nothing changes. Still the strips and the flickering.

Additionally, I tried with another raspberry and rechecked couple of time the connections and still the same failures.

Hello there, I didn’t get the replacement yet but I bought another module and it works fine. So i guess it was definitelly a hardware defect.
