Hello all,
I’m having trouble making my camera accept the Contrast value programmatically. Following the C++ API, I use the following statement to set it:
camControls->set(controls::Contrast, 4.0);
I do this right before the cam->start(camControls->get()) statement.
However, no matter what value I set it to, the camera does seems to ignore it. I can set other control values without issues. I can set different contrast values using the libcamera-* apps and it works in there.
Am I missing some step in here?
Thank you in advance for any pointer you can provide me with.
Best,
I continue to have this issue. I can see that the setting is being received and set, however the frames I’m pulling from the camera do not reflect the changes in contrast or brightness, only exposure and gain seem to be working correctly. If I attempt to set a too high contrast value, I get warning messages, by setting the LOG to debug mode I can see that the requests are received and that the contrast and brightness values I set (before starting or via a request) arre being used on contrast.cpp:
...
[163:09:29.029046896] [18825] DEBUG RPiContrast contrast.cpp:147 Manual brightness -65536 contrast 4
...
Any thoughts on what I am missing here? Am I correct in assuming that the frames coming from the camera should have these settings applied?
Thanks,
Peter
