Questions:

  1. The gain settings range from 100 to 4000. Does this settings range cover the whole sensor gain (0 dB to 72 dB)? What is the correspondence to the sensor gain in dB?
  2. Exposure_time_absolute setting ranges from 5 to 330. What is the corresponding exposure time in miliseconds? Is this 0.5 mS to 33 mS ?
  3. In what conversion gain mode does the sensor operate? Or does it switch automatically?

Answers:

  1. The gain settings range from 100 to 4000. Does this settings range cover the whole sensor gain (0 dB to 72 dB)? What is the correspondence to the sensor gain in dB?

100-4000 corresponds to 0-32 dB (only analog gain, not digital gain)
dB = 20.0 * log10(gain_value/100)

  1. Exposure_time_absolute setting ranges from 5 to 330. What is the corresponding exposure time in miliseconds? Is this 0.5 mS to 33 mS ?

Yes, the unit is 100us,so the range 5 ~ 330 = 500us ~ 33000us = 0.5ms ~ 33ms

  1. In what conversion gain mode does the sensor operate? Or does it switch automatically?

You need to switch manually.
