Yes, Arducam PiNSIGHT consists of a camera module, AI SoM, and a high-level heat sink. You will need the Raspberry Pi platform boards to access it.
- What RPI Boards can I use with the PiNSIGHT?
Arducam PiNSIGHT supports all official Raspberry Pi boards. However, due to the requirements for AI SoM computing, we recommend using Raspberry Pi 5. Notice that the Performance with Rpi 3 and below might be affected.
- What are the performances of its AI functions?
PiNSIGHT’s synergy with OpenVINO expands the horizons of neural network integration, which acts as a gateway to a vast repository of pre-trained models available in the Open Model Zoo.
- What is the focus type of this product? And the focus distance?
The camera is autofocus with the default focus distance of 15cm-∞.
- What kind of hardware encoding mode does it support?
The equipped OAK-SoM enables hardware-based encoding (H.264, H.265, MJPEG), ensuring superior efficiency, faster video processing, and optimized power consumption when paired with the Arducam 12MP camera module.
- Will the power consumption become overwhelming?
With high performance and low consumption, the Power Requirement of PiNSIGHT is only 5V 1A.
