Hi guys,
My camera works fine, but I have noticed that the image is a little pink. At first I had thought in the IR Filter, but is disabled.
Any ideas?

Hi,
Don’t worry and I will try my best to help you.
It is due to the lens shading problem. Which tool are you using to get the image?
Arducam has release some tools to fix the lens shading issue. Getting it from https://www.arducam.com/docs/cameras-for-raspberry-pi/native-raspberry-pi-cameras/lens-shading-calibration/
Let me know if you need more help.
Hello,
Following up on this post as I am having the same color shading issues. I see there are files available to adjust the shading but it isn’t clear what file we should be using with the PTZ lens. Could you please specify?
Additionally, when I turn the IR filter on and off I see the light blink on the board but I don’t see any difference with the picture. Is the process mechanical - should i be able to hear it on the board. I ask because I don’t hear anything happening when turning on and off the IR filter but I do hear the motors for zoom/focus.
Thank you
Dear technical,
I’m having the same pinkish image problem, and I’m assuming it’s caused by lens shading.
Similar to pipeman’s query, I see there are files available to adjust the shading but it isn’t clear what file we should be using with the PTZ lens. Could you please specify?
For example, what’s the FoV, SKU, and Part number of the 8MP PTZ camera. I tried to look for the information in the datasheet but couldn’t find the corresponding parameters. Please advise.
P.S: I notice pipeman’s enquiry had been left unanswered for months. Could the technical team be more prompt as this is the only venue to seek help.
Hi @lvbin ,
I am using Arducam B0385 camera with 100fps Global Shutter Color USB Camera Board, 1MP OV9782 UVC Webcam Module with Low Distortion M12 Lens Without Microphones. I am getting this pink hue issue problem in the video feed like @danielef mentioned. I need to deliver the systems to the customer. Can you please help me on this.
Hi,
Sounds weird.
It happens to Raspberry Pi’s cameras that have lens shading problems sinstead of UVC cameras. Could you post the pictures show the pink hue from B0385?
As you can see in the bottom right corner, There is a huge pink hue that is coming up. Similar we have observed while taking video feed.
Hi @Dion,
The problem is more frequent when camera feed is taken on daylight. Can you please help me with this…Let me know in case you need more data.
Hi @Rohit
I suggest that you change to another software like qv4l2 to preview the camera.
sudo apt install qv4l2
Let me know if the pink hue would exist on the qv4l2.
Thank you for your response…it’s not working with qv4l2 also…we are getting pink hue in the image…we have opened the terminal and given the command
qv4l2 -d /dev/video2
Than a window opened with v4l2 test bench where we streamed the video and we observed pink hue in the video feed.
Hi @Dion ,
Is this issue because of lens shading problem? @Ivbin suggested to put json file for IMX219 and IMX477 lens for pink hue issue. Do we need to put a json file for OV9787 lens, If yes than can you please help me out with the steps for creating json file for OV9787 lens for B0385 camera?
Hi Rohit,
We are finding a solution to this problem. It looks like a firmware update is inevitable.
@Dion Thanks for your reply…We will wait for the updated firmware.
Hi @Dion,
Could you please find out the problem?
Hi @Rohit
I wanna know if all the cameras you have show this problem.
Besides, could you cover the camera module with a box or a cloth and just leave the lens exposed?
At this point, you can give it a shot.
Hi @Dion,
Thanks for your reply, All cameras have same problem. We have already tried covering the camera with a masking tape but it didn’t work.
Hi @Dion ,
Greetings from our side…Can you please update on the above issue?
Hi @Rohit
Thank you for your patience. We are checking the problem this afternoon and may update you later tomorrow.
