One IMX477 camera not displaying on Jetson Xavier NX, need Arducam UC-376 HAT-to-camera cable

Hi, I need the flat cable that runs from the HAT to the camera. I have the Arducam 12MP MINI IMX477 Synchronized Stereo Camera Bundle Kit for Jetson Nano and Xavier NX (SKU B0347N) and one of the two IMX477 cameras is broken - only one camera gives a display, the other one doesn’t work at all. The cable I already have is marked Arducam UC-376 on it. I also want to order some longer cables - 50cm - and a couple more cameras of the same model. I’ll attach a photo of exactly what I need. Can you tell me the price and details for the 50cm cables and for the cameras?

Hi, Dion here from Arducam support. Sorry you’re having trouble with one of the IMX477 cameras. Before we go further, could you share a bit more about the setup so our engineer can check it in advance? Specifically: which board you’re using, how the cameras are connected, which of the two cameras fails, and what exactly you see when it fails. If you can also confirm whether that camera ever displayed an image, that would help a lot. In the meantime I can get you the pricing for the 50cm cables.

I’m using a Jetson Xavier NX. The connections have to go through a flat cable to the Jetson, so the adaptors you normally suggest can’t be used here. The cable is marked Arducam UC-376 on it. The defective item is one of the IMX477 cameras from the Arducam 12MP MINI IMX477 Synchronized Stereo Camera Bundle Kit for Jetson Nano and Xavier NX, SKU B0347N. My technician just informed me that 1 piece from the IMX477 camera I bought last time is broken - only one camera gives a display and the other one doesn’t work.

Thanks, that helps a lot. To confirm the camera is actually defective and not a cabling or port issue, the engineer needs two things: 1) A screenshot showing the failure on the non-working camera - it’s normally a black screen or a static stripe pattern. 2) Confirmation of whether that specific camera ever worked before. Could you grab those for us? Also, when you swap the two camera cables between the connectors, does the working camera stay working on the same port, or does the fault follow the camera? That’ll tell us whether it’s the camera, the cable, or the connector.

The camera was not working from the time I received it - it never showed anything. One of the cameras is completely black and the other one is okay. I already tried changing the cables and did everything but it’s still not working. I’ll tell my team to take a screenshot and send it over. I’m also in a rush for the longer cables and more cameras, because the longer cables are needed for our assembly, so if that side can be prepared it would really help.

Got it. Current status as I understand it: one camera works fine, the other one shows a completely black screen and has never displayed an image, even after changing cables. Since the root cause isn’t confirmed yet, we can’t verify it as defective until we have two pieces of evidence - the screenshot showing the black screen or static stripe, and confirmation that the camera never worked from the start. Once you post the screenshot here, we’ll pass it to the engineer to verify the fault. In the meantime I’ve noted that you need the 50cm cables for your assembly. Please also let us know whether the black camera follows the cable when you swap the two cameras on the Jetson - that will tell us whether it’s the camera itself or the cable/connector.
