Hi everyone, I’m trying to get the Arducam Kernel Camera Driver installed for my Arducam 12MP 477P Motorized Focus High Quality Camera on an NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano developer kit, but I can’t seem to find a compatible deb package. The installer just doesn’t match anything for my board. Has anyone run into this on the Orin Nano?
Thanks for reaching out. Can you share a bit more about your environment? Specifically the kernel version and the Jetson type. If you run uname -r and check /etc/nv_tegra_release, that should give us a good starting point.
Sure, here’s what I’m seeing:
- Kernel version:
5.15.136-tegra-36.3.0-20240506102626 - Jetson type:
UNKNOWN
I’m not sure why it reports UNKNOWN. It’s an Orin Nano dev kit as far as I know.
Got it, thanks. That UNKNOWN is part of the problem - without correctly identifying the board, the package matching can’t pick the right deb. Could you send pictures of the Jetson device, both the back and the front? That’ll help me identify the hardware and figure out which package should apply.
No problem, here are the photos of the board. Sorry if the quality isn’t great - if you need a better shot of a particular section, let me know and I’ll get closer images.

Thanks, I’ve got the photos. To summarize where we are: the reported environment is kernel 5.15.136-tegra-36.3.0-20240506102626, Jetson type is coming back as UNKNOWN, and the target camera is the Arducam 12MP 477P Motorized Focus High Quality Camera. Because the Jetson type is UNKNOWN, no compatible deb package is being matched. I’m reviewing the board photos now to confirm the exact hardware, and once that’s identified I’ll point you to the correct package or next step. I’ll update the thread as soon as I have a conclusion.
