Looking for sample code for ArduCam 16MP IMX519 camera on Jetson Nano/Orin Nano

Hi everyone, I’m trying to get the ArduCam 16MP IMX519 Autofocus Camera Module working on my Jetson Nano (and later a Jetson Orin Nano). I saw the demo video “16mp Autofocus camera on Nvidia Jetson Nano and NX (Demo)” at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhpWa6MA32s and I can’t seem to find the sample code that was used in it. Does anyone know where I can get example code for interfacing this camera with the Jetson platforms?

Welcome! The sample code shown in that demo is available in the ArduCAM GitHub repository. Take a look here: GitHub - ArduCAM/Jetson_IMX519_Focus_Example · GitHub. That repo contains example code for the 16MP IMX519 autofocus camera on NVIDIA Jetson, including Jetson Nano and Orin Nano. I’d suggest starting with the basic capture and focus examples in there to get the camera up and running.

Thanks, that link helped a lot. I was able to successfully interface the camera on my Jetson Nano using the examples from the Jetson_IMX519_Focus_Example repository, and I even posted a short result video at Redirecting.... Now I’m looking for more examples to control the camera settings - things like threshold, gain, saturation, brightness, contrast, etc. Are those available anywhere? I’d be happy to test them out and share the results.

Great to hear it’s working on your Jetson Nano! As far as the current repository goes, there aren’t examples for those specific controls yet - threshold, gain, saturation, brightness, and contrast are not covered in the existing examples. I’ve noted the request and passed it along to the team to consider adding these features in a future update. For now the repo focuses mainly on the focus/autofocus examples rather than the full set of image controls.
