Libcamera-1.0.1-cp39-cp39 for aarch64

  1. Where did you get the camera module(s)?
    From Aducam Buy store.

  2. Model number of the product(s)?
    B0393

  3. What hardware/platform were you working on?
    Raspberry Pi4 ModelB Rev.1.4

  4. Instructions you have followed. (link/manual/etc.)
    Arducam documentation

  5. Problems you were having?
I’ve installed Raspberry OS (64-bit) BullsEye from Raspberry repository with Raspberry Pi Imager.
    Linux raspberrypi 5.15.32-v8+ #1538 SMP PREEMPT Thu Mar 31 19:40:39 BST 2022 aarch64 GNU/Linux

libcambera-hello -t 0 works perfectly.

I’ve used the github RaspberryPi repository to test Motorized_Focus_Camera python demo but
in python path there are the whell only for 32 bit python version:

libcamera-1.0.1-cp39-cp39-linux_armv7l.whl
libcamera-1.0.2-cp39-cp39-linux_armv7l.whl

  1. The dmesg log from your hardware?

  2. Troubleshooting attempts you’ve made?

  3. What help do you need?
The libcamera python packages for 64 bits python 3.9 or code to build them in 64bits.

Note:

When I try to get info about BSK b0393 with v4l2-ctl -D -d /dev/video0 --list-formats-ext
I obtain wrong data from supported resolutions:

qem@raspberrypi:~ $ v4l2-ctl -D -d /dev/video0 --list-formats-ext

It is normal ?
Seem v4l2 can’t get info about camera.

hi, shineworld

You can download the 64-bit libcamera python library from the link below.

libcamera-python-libaray-aarch64-10.2

As a side note, we will fully support picamera2 and no longer maintain this python library.

And, we will launch the Motorized_Focus_Camera python demo of the picamera2 version as soon as possible.

Due to changes in libcamera framework, v4l2 commands cannot read correct camera information.

You can read camera information with the following command:

libcamera-still --list-cameras
