init camera status = 4099 on IMX298 (16 MP) ArduCAM running on Pi 4B 8GB

Hi,

You are welcome. Feel free to let me know if you need more help.

Hello,

I’m experiencing the same issue on RPI Compute Module4 with Official I/O Board.

My camera is AR1820HS.

When I runed camera_i2c script, message

setting GPIO for board revision: c3140

Failed: don’t know how to set GPIO for this board!

shown.

Hardware: BCM2711

Revision: c03114

Could you please help?

Hello,

We also have with a Pi4 (revision : c03114) with the same camera status=4099 error.

We are using the ov9281 camera modules.

is there a solution for this ?

Hi,

I have the same problem. Camera (OV9281) is working with revision b03114, but in c03114 it is not supported. Is there any way to add support and rebuild it myself? Is source code available?

Hello,

I also have the same issue with Compute Module 4 IO board and IMX298 (16MP) ArduCAM

camera_i2c returns the following:

setting GPIO for board revsion: c03140
Failed: don’t know how to set GPIO for this board!

Is there a solution for this?

thank you,

I have the same issue on a new Pi - was running fine on a previous system.

Arducam 12MP Synchronized Stereo Camera Bundle Kit on a Pi4.

When running ./list_format I get ‘init camera status = 4099’

camera_i2c returns the following:

setting GPIO for board revsion: c03140
Failed: don’t know how to set GPIO for this board!

All libraries re-downloaded and re-installed.

I tried the new https://github.com/ArduCAM/MIPI_Camera/tree/master/RPI with my Arducam 16MP Camera for Raspberry Pi, IMX298 Programable Motorized Focus Pivariety and it still gets the Init: 4099 Error.

The camera works fine with Libcamera, but since there is no support for Libcamera with a ton of the apps I use, this doesn’t help.

Two Questions:
Is there any way to get support for this camera with MIPI?
-and, if not-
Is it possible to get discard the ArduCam UC-667 board from this model and use just the UC-572 board and get MIPI to function?

If not, I guess I’m stuck with a cool looking Raspi Camera paperweight!

Thanks!
Steve

Hello,

I’m having the same issue as well on a Raspberry Pi 4B 4GB. I get the following when running these commands:

./opencvGui
init camera status = 4099

./camera_i2c
setting GPIO for board revsion: c03114
Failed: don’t know how to set GPIO for this board!

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Does anyone still respond to customers from Arducam?

Same issue here. Building new vehicles with a new batch of Pi’s and I can’t get the camera working. If I get anywhere I’ll post it up here…

Got it working using the latest instructions here. Look for the new Pi4 instructions.

Hello,
I need your help too please.

I work with the “Camarray - Arducam 12MP Synchronized Stereo kamera” (IMX477)
When I enter to mod 1 (./arducamstill -t 0 -m 1) I get as result “init camera status = 4099” out…
I have deleted MIPI_Camera repository and downloaded again and reinstalled. But it still does not work.

I look forward to your response.
