Hi everyone, hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I’m trying to use an IMX477 camera with a Jetson Orin Nano. I’ve got the camera and I bought cables that plug into the Jetson correctly, but I’m stuck before I even get started. Two things: how do I configure the Jetson pins for this camera? And is there a resistor on the board that needs to be removed or changed? I’ve seen mentions of that floating around but nothing specific.
Welcome to the forum! A couple of questions so we can give you the right info: which IMX477 variant do you have (fixed focus, motorized focus, etc.)? And which Orin Nano carrier board are you using? If you can post a photo of the camera board and how it’s connected, that’ll help too. The resistor question can depend on the exact board.
Sure, it’s the Arducam IMX477 motorized focus camera, bought on Amazon. The Jetson is an Orin Nano dev kit. I got cables that were supposed to be the right fit and they do plug in without any issue. Here are a couple of photos of what I’m working with.

Thanks for the photos, that helps a lot. For this camera the pin configuration and any resistor notes are covered in our Jetson quick start guide for the motorized focus camera. I’d start there and follow it step by step for the Orin Nano.
I found the quick start page, but there are a few different camera sections on it. Which one should I be following for the IMX477 motorized focus camera? Just want to make sure I’m on the right part before I start changing pins.
Good question. You want the section specifically for the IMX477 motorized focus camera. Here’s the direct link to that part: Quick start - Arducam Wiki
That section covers the Jetson pin mapping for your setup and addresses the resistor question for this board. I’ve re-attached your photos below for reference - compare them with the pinout in the guide as you go.
To wrap up: the conclusion right now is to follow that IMX477 motorized focus camera section in the quick start for the pin configuration and resistor details. If something in there doesn’t match your board or you get stuck at a specific step, post back and we can dig into it.
