I’ve been running an IMX462 camera (B0444) that I bought from Arducam as an Allsky camera with a Raspberry Pi 4B successfully for about a year. Recently while upgrading the system with some motors, I created a fresh Pi install using the latest 64-Bit Trixie desktop OS using the Raspberry Pi Image tool. I installed the drivers as per the Quick Start Guide. Installed fine however it seems the driver is loading or parsing an invalid frame configuration from the camera over the I2C bus.
When I list cameras using the command, it does show up:
$ rpicam-still --list-cameras
Available cameras
-----------------
0 : arducam-pivariety [1920x1080 10-bit RGGB] (/base/soc/i2c0mux/i2c@1/arducam_pivariety@c)
Modes: 'SRGGB10_CSI2P' : 2147485568x1080 [30.00 fps - (65535, 65535)/65535x65535 crop]
As you can see the frame width is 2147485568 not 1920.
When I attempt to capture a frame, it fails:
$ rpicam-still -o test.jpg
