IMX462/B0444 "no camera available" on Pi Zero 2W

Hi, I have been trying to control the IMX462/B0444 using libcamera on the Pi Zero 2W since two days ago, but it always gives the error ‘no camera available’

  1. Which Platform are you using the product(s) on?
    Pi Zero 2W, Bookworm (6.6.31+rpt-rpi-v8)

  2. Which instruction are you following?

  3. Has your product ever worked properly?
    I installed libcamera on another Pi Zero 2W on July 19, also using the IMX462, and it worked fine. I also noticed that on the working Raspberry Pi, when entering the command: libcamera-hello --version, it shows:

rpicam-apps build: 68e355bdf617-intree-dirty 19-06-2024 (11:08:35)

libcamera build: v0.1.0+417-e0a93d12-dirty (2024-07-01T05:49:54+01:00)

But on the new Pi, it shows:

rpicam-apps build: 49344f2a8d18 17-06-2024 (12:09:08)

libcamera build: v0.3.2+27-7330f29b

  1. What attempts at troubleshooting have you already made?

Something in the new build breaks the B0444, maybe other cameras. I just confirmed across multiple b0444s/pi where all the hardware works but a fresh install always shows no cameras available.
