Hi, I’m trying to get an IMX219 camera working on a Jetson AGX Orin Developer Kit running Jetpack 5.1.2. I’m using the arducam-nvidia-l4t-kernel driver package, build 5.10.120-tegra-35.4.1-20230925164547. When I run:
./install_full.sh -m imx219
the install fails during the driver/package setup step. I’ve double-checked the adapter board a few times and it’s seated correctly, so I don’t think it’s a hardware issue. Has anyone run into this?
Can you paste the exact error output from the install? Also, just to confirm: this is the arducam-nvidia-l4t-kernel build 5.10.120-tegra-35.4.1-20230925164547 on Jetpack 5.1.2?

An unknown error occurred while installing dtoverlays.
dpkg: error processing package arducam-nvidia-l4t-kernel (–install):
installed arducam-nvidia-l4t-kernel package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 255
Errors were encountered while processing:
arducam-nvidia-l4t-kernel
Looking at that traceback, the post-install script /opt/arducam/jetson-io/config-by-hardware.py is failing when it tries to find the DTB. It calls board.Board(), then _board_get_dtb(), and for your board it hits:
RuntimeError: No DTB found for Jetson AGX Orin Developer Kit!
Because of that, the dtoverlay install never completes, dpkg reports exit status 255, and the package is left unconfigured. That points to the 20230925164547 build not having the correct DTB entry for the AGX Orin Developer Kit. There’s an updated driver package that should include the correct DTB support. I’ve sent it to you in a private message. Once you have it, install it with:
Thanks, that makes sense. Just so I’m clear: the updated build is 20230927160236 instead of the old 20230925164547? So this isn’t an adapter/hardware problem at all?
Right, based on that error it’s not the adapter. The old package was 20230925164547 and the updated one is 20230927160236. The newer build is expected to include the correct DTB support for the Jetson AGX Orin Developer Kit, so the post-install script should be able to find the DTB and complete the dtoverlay setup. Try the dpkg command and let us know if it configures cleanly or if a different error shows up.
