I can't get my B0429 to work on Orin Nano

1. Where did you get the camera module(s)? Arducam.com

3. Model number of the product(s)? B0429 and B0492N

5. What hardware/platform were you working on? Jetson Orin Nano Dev Kit with JetPack 6.0 (R36.4.4).

7. Instructions you have followed. (link/manual/etc.) Quick Start Guide - Arducam Wiki

8. Problems you were having? I have been unable to get the B0429 (AR0234 sensor) to show video. nvarguscamerasrc fails with a “No cameras available” error. However, a standard USB webcam works perfectly, which confirms that my system’s display, GPU, and V4L2 framework are all functional.

10. The dmesg log from your hardware?

rsilvers@hk-00:~$ sudo dmesg | grep -i "arducam\|i2c" [sudo] password for rsilvers: [ 0.233519] i2c_dev: i2c /dev entries driver [ 1.755711] tegra-i2c 3160000.i2c: Adding to iommu group 1 [ 8.506745] arducam-csi2: chip found @ 0x18 (i2c-2-mux (chan_id 1)) [ 8.531295] arducam-csi2: arducam_read: Reading register 0x103 failed [ 8.531306] arducam-csi2 9-000c: probe failed [ 8.531331] arducam-csi2 9-000c: Failed to setup board. 11. Troubleshooting attempts you’ve made? I have tried the following to solve the problem:

  • Checked and confirmed that a USB webcam works.
  • Uninstalled the Arducam driver package with sudo dpkg -r arducam-nvidia-l4t-kernel.
  • Reinstalled the driver with sudo ./install_full.sh -m arducam_4lane.
  • Tried both the CAM0 (sensor-id=0) and CAM1 (sensor-id=1) ports.
  • Checked for driver issues with the dmesg log, which confirmed that the kernel driver sees and registers the camera on chan_id 0 (/dev/video0).
  • Ran nvargus-daemon in debug mode, which showed the following errors:

OFParserListModules: module list: /proc/device-tree/tegra-camera-platform/modules/module0 OFParserListModules: module list: /proc/device-tree/tegra-camera-platform/modules/module1 NvPclHwGetModuleList: WARNING: Could not map module to ISP config string NvPclHwGetModuleList: No module data found ... SCF: Error BadParameter: Sensor could not be opened.

These logs suggest that while the kernel driver is working, the Argus framework is not finding the necessary configuration in the device tree to use the camera.

12. What help do you need? I am using a Jetson Orin Nano with JetPack 6.0 (R36.4.4). My troubleshooting indicates a mismatch between the driver and the Argus framework on this specific JetPack version. The install_full.sh script does not seem to install a compatible driver.

Could you please provide a link to the correct driver package (.deb file) for my B0429 camera that is compatible with JetPack 6.0 (R36.4.4)?

Also please confirm which Cam port the B0429 needs and which one the B0492N needs.

Also, can I extend the distance between the each stereo camera and the Hat with a **CSI-to-HDMI Adapter? And can the other camera work with the CSI-to-HDMI Adapter? Or will this adaptor work with none of these cameras?
