I’ve been working on a product for several years which uses a raspberry pi and OV9281 camera in external trigger mode. The driver we used is the MIPI_camera driver.
This driver is no longer supported by arducam, and it seems to be broken by the latest raspberry pi 4 hardware revision 1.5 as well as by the OV9281 hardware revision B.
We were able to make a batch of machines by scavanging the older OV9281’s and raspberry pi 4 rev 1.4, but this is not sustainable.
I have a OV9281 rev B connected to a raspberry pi 4 rev 1.5, and I’ve got the V4L2 driver working to capture frames, but I don’t know how to put the camera into external sync mode. (we were using mode 11).
Was support for external sync of the ov9281 just dropped when arducam switched to recommending the V4L2 driver?
