When I try to run the example python script for external triggering I got the error message code USB_BOARD_FW_VERSION_NOT_SUPPORT_ERROR.

I tried to run the streaming demo (fine) and external trigger demo (not supported).

Is it possible to use another way how to reduce the bandwidth and trigger the frame only when needed? Do you plan to update the FW for external trigger support?
Hi @oivan
This means that your USB Camera Sheild does not support external trigger mode. What camera are you using?
If the camera supports external trigger, you can choose to use streaming mode + camera external trigger config file to achieve external trigger function.

thanks for your answer. I am using imx477 camera with usb3 cam shield. But I cannot see any parameter in config that controls the external trigger mode. Do I have to set the registers? Thanks.
