Driver sources of OV9281/Jetvariety for BalenaOS integration

Hello ArduCam Support Team,

I’m using a UC-788 Rev B camera board with the OV9281 sensor on a Jetson Orin Nano running JetPack 6.2 (L4T 36.4.3). I followed the Quick Start guide and installed the Jetvariety driver via the install_all.sh script.

My next step is to integrate this camera support into BalenaOS. To do that, I need to build the camera driver from source against the BalenaOS kernel sources and include the required device-tree (DT) overlay in the base image. From the script, it looks like the driver and overlays are provided as precompiled binaries.

Could you please provide one of the following?

  • The source code (or repository) for the OV9281/Jetvariety kernel module compatible with L4T 36.4.x, along with the DT overlay sources (.dts), or
  • build instructions and patches to build the module from source against the L4T/tegra kernel on aarch64, or
  • A recommended approach for integrating this into BalenaOS (e.g., supported out-of-tree build process if any).

If sources are not available, do you offer a binary build specifically for L4T 36.4.3 (kernel 5.15.x) and the corresponding DT overlays for Orin Nano?
