Hi all, I can’t get the Arducam IMX477 camera driver to install on my Jetson Nano. I run the installer script and it just fails every time. Has anyone else run into this on the Nano?
Hi there. Let’s start with the basics - can you share your Jetson type and kernel version? Run uname -r in a terminal and paste the output here. Also, what exactly does the installer print when it fails?
Sure. Jetson type is Nano (Developer Kit Version) and the kernel version is 4.9.253-tegra-32.6.1-20210726122000. When I run the Arducam installer it stops with this:
Cannot find the corresponding deb package, please send the following information to support
Kernel version: 4.9.253-tegra-32.6.1-20210726122000
Jetson type: Nano (Developer Kit Version)
Thanks, that output means the installer is bailing because it can’t find a matching deb package for your kernel and board combination. Before I dig further into the package side, could you post photos of your Nano - front and back? That helps verify the exact hardware revision.
Quick question - how would photos help with a missing deb package? I ran the full installer script and it got as far as the package lookup step, then threw that ‘cannot find the corresponding deb package’ message and quit. Just trying to understand what the photos are for.
Fair question. The installer matches the deb package against the kernel version and the specific Jetson model it detects. Since it couldn’t find a package for 4.9.253-tegra-32.6.1-20210726122000 on the Nano Developer Kit, we want to confirm the board details first. Different board revisions and clones can report differently, and that changes which package the installer should select. The front/back photos let us rule out a hardware mismatch before we go further down the package route.
Okay, that makes sense. I’ll grab photos of the front and back of the board and post them here.
Sounds good. To summarize where this stands: the Arducam installer could not find a corresponding deb package for kernel 4.9.253-tegra-32.6.1-20210726122000 on the Jetson Nano (Developer Kit Version). We’re verifying the hardware via front/back board photos before the next diagnostic step. Still waiting on those photos - post them when you can and I’ll pick it up from there.
