Hi all, I’m trying to install the IMX477 driver on my Jetson Xavier NX Developer Kit running JetPack 5.1.1, following the Arducam Native Camera Quick Start Guide. The install script stops with:
Cannot find the corresponding deb package, please send the following information to support
Thanks for the logs. Looking at your kernel version, you’re on L4T 35.3.1 (5.10.104-tegra-35.3.1-20230319081403). The IMX477 camera driver hasn’t been released for L4T 35.3.1 yet, so the installer can’t find a matching deb package. That’s why it fails with that error.
So before I flashed 35.2.1, I checked the compatibility page again and it looks like JetPack 35.3.1 support has now been added for the IMX477. I see it listed for the Jetson Orin NX on 35.3.1. Since I’m still on the Xavier NX, can you point me to the install guide for 35.3.1? Is that combination supported for me now?
Good catch, but there are two separate things here. The IMX477 driver for JetPack 35.3.1 has now been released, so the deb package exists. However, the compatibility matrix does not list the Jetson Xavier NX Developer Kit for 35.3.1. The entry you’re seeing is for the Orin NX platform. So on your Xavier NX Developer Kit with JetPack 35.3.1, we don’t have a supported platform/driver combination, and there’s no direct install path for that board on 35.3.1.
Just to set expectations: we only validate against the official Arducam carrier board for the Jetson Orin NX. The Seeedstudio A603 is a third-party carrier board, so we can’t confirm compatibility with it. Some Arducam cameras have issues on third-party boards, and when that happens we can’t tell whether the problem is the camera or the carrier board itself.
Best next step is to test the camera on the official Jetson Orin NX development kit / official carrier board. If the camera works there, then the issue is likely on the A603 board side. If it doesn’t work on the official dev kit, let us know and we can dig in further.
