Cannot find corresponding deb package when installing B0371 camera driver on Jetson Nano

Hi everyone, I’m stuck setting up an Arducam B0371 on an NVIDIA Jetson Nano Developer Kit. I’ve been following the quick start guide here: Quick-Start-Guide - Arducam Wiki

I get through Step 1 fine, but at Step 2 ‘Install the driver’ it fails with: “Cannot find the corresponding deb package”. The camera has never worked. Kernel version is 4.9.337-tegra-32.7.6-20241104234540. Any idea what’s going on?

Thanks for the details. Could you post the full output from the install step? Also, can you confirm the Jetson type the script detects? That will help narrow this down.

Sure, here’s the full output it printed:

Cannot find the corresponding deb package, please send the following information to [email protected]
Kernel version: 4.9.337-tegra-32.7.6-20241104234540
Jetson type: NVIDIA Jetson Nano Developer Kit

That’s helpful. Do you know which JetPack/L4T version is flashed on the board? Based on the kernel string, it looks like L4T 32.7.6.

I haven’t changed anything on the board, it came flashed with whatever it has. I haven’t tried re-flashing or any other steps yet - I just wanted to get the camera running first.

Got it. That kernel string explains the error. Arducam has not released the camera driver for L4T 32.7.6, which is the L4T version matching your kernel (4.9.337-tegra-32.7.6-20241104234540). Because there is no corresponding deb package for that unsupported L4T version, the driver install step fails exactly like you’re seeing.

Ah, that makes sense now. So is there any way around it? Should I try forcing the install or manually picking a deb package?

I wouldn’t recommend trying to force it - there simply isn’t a matching package for 32.7.6, so forcing it could leave you with a broken install. The fix is to re-flash the Jetson Nano to a JetPack/L4T version that’s on the supported list: Introduction to Arducam Jetson Cameras - Arducam Wiki

Don’t attempt the camera driver install on L4T 32.7.6, since it hasn’t been released for that version.

To sum up the workaround: re-flash/burn the Jetson Nano to a JetPack/L4T version that is included in the supported list at the link above, then go back and follow the driver installation steps from the quick start guide (Quick-Start-Guide - Arducam Wiki). The ‘Cannot find the corresponding deb package’ error is tied to the L4T/JetPack version - unsupported versions like 32.7.6 will hit that during Step 2.
