Hi, I’m trying to get a 16MP autofocus camera (I believe it’s the IMX519) going on a Jetson Nano Developer Kit and the install keeps dying with “Cannot find the corresponding deb package”. I downloaded the JetPack 4.6.1 image from NVIDIA recently, and I’m on kernel 4.9.337-tegra-32.7.4-20230608212426. I ran ./install_full.sh -m arducam. Are the driver packages just out of date at this point?
Could you paste the full output of the install script? Also worth double-checking the exact camera model and the module flag you used — for the IMX519, ‘-m arducam’ may not be the right flag.
Here’s what I get:
./install_full.sh: line 19: warning: command substitution: ignored null byte in input

Cannot find the corresponding deb package, please send the following information to Arducam support
Kernel version: 4.9.337-tegra-32.7.4-20230608212426
Jetson type: NVIDIA Jetson Nano Developer Kit
It downloads arducam_links.txt fine but then fails right after.
Thanks, that explains it. You’re on L4T 32.7.4 (kernel 4.9.337-tegra-32.7.4-20230608212426) and Arducam hasn’t released a camera driver for that L4T version yet — there’s literally no matching deb in the links file, so the script stops there. Two things: first, the correct install command for the IMX519 is ./install_full.sh -m imx519, not -m arducam. Second, you’ll need to re-flash the Jetson to a JetPack/L4T version that’s actually in the supported list before the driver can install.
Got it. I’m trying to figure out which SD card image to use now. NVIDIA’s get-started page for the Nano seems to point at L4T 32.7.4 (Get Started With Jetson Nano Developer Kit | NVIDIA Developer), and the JetPack SDK 4.6.1 page (JetPack SDK 4.6.1 | NVIDIA Developer) looks like it’s L4T 32.7.1? My sources.list has deb https://repo.download.nvidia.com/jetson/common r32.7 main, so without careful pinning it’ll happily update. Is 32.7.4 support coming soon, or do I need to avoid it?
JetPack 32.7.1 (L4T 32.7.1) is the compatible version for the IMX519 driver. L4T 32.7.4 is not supported right now, so I’d avoid it until it shows up in the supported list. Burn the OS to JetPack/L4T 32.7.1, and keep it pinned to r32.7.1 during apt updates so it doesn’t drift up to 32.7.4. This is the supported driver list:

Okay, so if I re-flash with 32.7.1 and then run ./install_full.sh -m imx519 it should find the right deb? I was mostly worried about apt updates silently moving me to 32.7.4 again.
Right — on JetPack/L4T 32.7.1 the IMX519 driver deb should resolve and install with ./install_full.sh -m imx519. And yes, watch the apt updates: with the r32.7 repo unpinned it can move you to 32.7.4, which currently has no Arducam driver package. So keep it pinned to r32.7.1 until 32.7.4 support is available. To summarize: use 32.7.1, pin it, and use the -m imx519 flag — not -m arducam.
