Hi everyone, I’m trying to install the Arducam IMX477 camera driver on my Jetson Xavier NX 16GB (Developer Kit). When I run the automatic installation script it fails almost immediately with “Cannot find the corresponding deb package” and tells me to send info to [email protected]. Does anyone know which kernel/dtb package I actually need and the correct procedure to install the driver?
Welcome to the forum. To narrow this down, can you share your environment details? Specifically: JetPack version, L4T version, kernel version (uname -r), and the Jetson type.
Sure. JetPack 4.6.2, L4T 32.7.1, and uname -r gives:
4.9.253-tegra-32.7.2-20220417024839
It’s a Xavier NX Developer Kit Version, 16GB.
Thanks. Can you paste the exact output from the automatic install script? The full error block helps, especially the kernel version and Jetson type lines it prints.
Here’s the full output:
Cannot find the corresponding deb package, please send the following information to [email protected]
Kernel version: 4.9.253-tegra-32.7.2-20220417024839
Jetson type: Xavier NX (Developer Kit Version)
Got it, that matches a known issue. This isn’t something you did wrong — there’s a bug in JetPack 4.6.2 itself. Specifically, cboot in 32.7.2 fails to read extlinux.conf. Because of that, the system reports a kernel/type combination that the installer doesn’t have a matching deb package for, so the script gives up and asks you to email support.
So that’s why it can’t find the deb package? What’s the actual fix here — do I really need to reflash the whole board?
Yes, that’s the root cause. The fix is to compile and replace cboot, then rewrite (reflash) the system using SDKmanager. There’s a good walkthrough on the NVIDIA developer forums here: Cboot in 32.7.2 fails to read extlinux.conf - #15 by WayneWWW - Jetson AGX Xavier - NVIDIA Developer Forums
Okay, just to be clear on the order: I compile and replace cboot first, then reflash with SDKmanager, and only after that try the IMX477 driver install again? And is there a specific driver install link I should be using?
Correct, that’s the order. Steps:
- Compile and replace cboot.
- Rewrite (reflash) the system using SDKmanager.
- After the system is burned, install the Arducam IMX477 driver.
I’ve sent you the driver installation link in a private message — check your messages and use that after the reflash. To summarize: the “Cannot find the corresponding deb package” error on the Xavier NX with kernel 4.9.253-tegra-32.7.2 is caused by the JetPack 4.6.2 cboot bug where cboot fails to read extlinux.conf. Replacing cboot and reflashing via SDKmanager is the workaround, and the IMX477 driver install should only be attempted after the system has been reflashed. Post back if the script still fails after that.
