Hi all. I’m trying to get an ArduCam IMX477 camera working on my Jetson Nano 2GB Developer Kit, but the driver install keeps failing. I ran the installer and it bails out before doing anything useful. Hoping someone here has seen this.
Can you give me a bit more context? Which Jetson model exactly, what kernel version, and the exact command you ran?
Sure. Board is an NVIDIA Jetson Nano 2GB Developer Kit. Kernel is 4.9.337-tegra-32.7.6-20241104234540. The command was:
./install_full.sh -m imx477
Thanks. Could you run it again and paste the full terminal output? The last few lines matter, but the whole thing helps.
Here’s the full output:
./install_full.sh: line 19: warning: command substitution: ignored null byte in input

Cannot find the corresponding deb package, please send the following information to [email protected]
Kernel version: 4.9.337-tegra-32.7.6-20241104234540
Jetson type: NVIDIA Jetson Nano 2GB Developer Kit
Looking at that output, the wget step actually worked - imx477_links.txt downloaded completely (19937 bytes). So this isn’t a download or connectivity problem. The script is failing at the next step, when it tries to find a deb package that matches your kernel/build. That’s where ‘Cannot find the corresponding deb package’ comes from.
Got it, so the download is fine, it’s just not finding the right package. That matches what I saw - it stops right after that message.
Right. The root cause is a package-matching failure: the installer can’t find a deb that matches kernel 4.9.337-tegra-32.7.6-20241104234540 on the Jetson Nano 2GB Developer Kit. ArduCam has a troubleshooting doc for exactly this: Troubleshooting - Arducam Wiki
For anyone else hitting it, you can reproduce by running ./install_full.sh -m imx477. Expected output is the null byte warning, board detection, wget completing imx477_links.txt (19937 bytes), then the ‘Cannot find the corresponding deb package’ message followed by the kernel version and Jetson type.
Thanks. So just to make sure I’ve got the takeaway straight: the links file downloaded fine, so it’s not my network - it’s that no matching deb exists for this kernel/model combo, and I should check that troubleshooting page for the workaround?
That’s exactly it. The 19,937-byte download completing rules out connectivity. The failure is the package-matching step - no corresponding deb package for kernel 4.9.337-tegra-32.7.6-20241104234540 / Jetson Nano 2GB. Head to the troubleshooting page I linked and follow the steps there for this install-failure case.
