Cannot find corresponding deb package for NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX Developer Kit kernel 5.10.104-tegra

Hi everyone, I’m trying to get an Arducam camera working on my Jetson but I can’t find the corresponding deb package anywhere. Every time I try to install it just comes back with something like ‘cannot find the corresponding deb package’. Has anyone run into this before?

Can you share a bit more about your setup? Specifically the kernel version and which Jetson model you’re using. The available deb packages depend a lot on that.

Sure. Kernel version is 5.10.104-tegra-35.2.1-20230124153320 and it’s an NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX Developer Kit.

Thanks, that helps. The Arducam Jetson camera deb package is only published for a specific list of JetPack versions, and the kernel you’re running (5.10.104-tegra-35.2.1-20230124153320) doesn’t match anything on that supported list. That’s why the package can’t be found.

To get this working you’ll need to re-burn the device with a JetPack version that is on the supported list. The supported versions are referenced here: Introduction to Arducam Jetson Cameras - Arducam Wiki

Okay, that makes sense now. Separate question though - I also have a Raspberry Pi I wanted to use with this camera. How should Raspberry Pi OS (Legacy) users go about setting it up?

On the Raspberry Pi side, support for the Legacy camera stack has actually been dropped by Arducam, so I can’t really point you to a Legacy setup. Which camera module did you purchase? Knowing the exact module matters here, because I can’t suggest a path forward without that.

To be honest I don’t remember the exact module name offhand. I did go ahead and install Raspberry Pi Bullseye OS on the Pi, and it seems to be working fine so far.

Good to hear Bullseye is working. One thing to keep in mind: on Bullseye the camera needs to be explicitly enabled/configured before use, otherwise it can look like it’s not detected.
