Cannot find corresponding deb package for 12MP IMX477 camera on Jetson Xavier NX

Hi, I’m trying to get a 12MP IMX477 IR-CUT night vision camera running on my Jetson Xavier NX dev kit. I followed the native camera quick start guide and ran the driver install command, but the terminal gives me an error saying it cannot find the corresponding deb package. It also asked for a reboot after the install attempt, and I did reboot. Here’s what I saw when running the command: IMG_20230404_112746.jpg

Thanks for the screenshot. Before I can guess what’s going on, could you post a few details about your setup? Specifically: the exact camera model, Jetson type/version, kernel version, and what boot media you’re using. Also, which guide link were you following when the install failed?

Sure, here’s what I have:

  • Camera: 12MP IMX477 IR CUT NIGHT VISION CAMERA
  • Jetson type: Xavier NX (Developer Kit Version)
  • Kernel version: 4.9.253-tegra-32.7.1-20220219090344
  • Boot media: SD-CARD

I was following this page: Quick-Start-Guide - Arducam Wiki. I ran the install command from there, it asked for a reboot, and I rebooted the board.

Root cause isn’t clear yet, so let’s collect a proper bug report to see what the installer is doing on your board. Please reboot the device again and then run these three commands one after another:

wget -O arducam-camera-bug-report-nvidia https://github.com/ketai-dhr/arducam-camera-bug-report/releases/download/tools/arducam-camera-bug-report-nvidia
chmod +x ./arducam-camera-bug-report-nvidia
./arducam-camera-bug-report-nvidia

This runs the official Arducam diagnostic script and will output a file called arducam-bug-report.txt in the current directory.

I rebooted and ran those commands. The script finished and generated arducam-bug-report.txt. I’ve sent that file to you via private message so it’s not sitting in the public thread, and here’s the terminal output screenshot: IMG_20230404_112746.jpg

Thanks, I’ve received the arducam-bug-report.txt via private message. I’m still working through the report, but the main thing we’re trying to pin down is why the installer can’t find a matching deb package for your setup — Xavier NX on kernel 4.9.253-tegra-32.7.1. Root cause isn’t determined yet, so give me a bit to review the diagnostic output and I’ll come back with the next step.
