Hey everyone, I’m trying to get an Arducam imx519 camera going on my Jetson Xavier NX (developer kit). I ran the driver installer but it keeps saying there’s no version available for this Jetpack. Does anyone know if there’s a beta version or a direct download somewhere I can grab instead?
Hi, can you share a bit more about your setup? Specifically the kernel version (uname -r), the Jetson type the installer reports, and the Jetpack version. That’ll help narrow down which package the installer should be looking for.
Sure. Kernel is 5.10.104-tegra-35.1.0-20220810203728, and the Jetson type shows as Xavier NX (Developer Kit Version). The code field is N/A. I did attempt the install, but it fails right at the package lookup step.
Thanks. Can you paste the exact output or error from the installer? The last few lines should be enough.
Here’s what it prints:
Cannot find the corresponding deb package, please send the following information to [email protected]
And then the script just stops.
Thanks, that confirms what’s happening. The imx519 installer checks for a matching deb package based on your Jetpack and kernel combination. For your current setup - Jetpack 5 with kernel 5.10.104-tegra-35.1.0-20220810203728 on Xavier NX - we don’t have a corresponding deb package available yet, so the installer can’t continue. I’ve put together the list of Jetpack versions that do have compatible imx519 packages and sent it to you in a private message. Can you check that list and see if you can run one of those versions instead?
Got it, thanks. So just to confirm - there’s no beta or manual download that works with my current Jetpack 5 / 5.10.104 kernel combo? I was really hoping to avoid reflashing the board.
Correct, there’s no beta or direct download that matches that exact combination right now. The imx519 driver packages are tied to specific Jetpack versions, and your current kernel 5.10.104-tegra-35.1.0-20220810203728 on the Xavier NX dev kit doesn’t have a corresponding deb package. Your best bet is to use one of the Jetpack versions from the compatibility list I sent, or wait until we publish a package for that kernel. If you do move to a supported version, the installer should find the matching package automatically.
