Camera driver installation fails on NVIDIA Jetson Nano with kernel 4.9.337

Hi everyone, I’m stuck trying to install the Arducam camera driver on my NVIDIA Jetson Nano Developer Kit. I ran ./install_full.sh -m arducam and the installer just stops with this:

Cannot find the corresponding deb package, please send the following information to [email protected]

My setup:

  • Jetson Nano Developer Kit
  • Kernel: 4.9.337-tegra-32.7.4-20230608212426

Not sure if I’m missing something or if this kernel version simply isn’t supported. Has anyone else run into this?

Thanks for posting the details. The kernel version is the giveaway here. You’re on 4.9.337-tegra, which maps to L4T 32.7.4, and the jetvariety camera driver hasn’t been released for that L4T version yet. Because there’s no matching deb package for your kernel, the installer throws that “Cannot find the corresponding deb package” error.

Driver support is tied to specific JetPack/L4T versions, so the fix is to re-flash your Nano to one of the supported JetPack versions listed in the docs:

https://docs.arducam.com/Nvidia-Jetson-Camera/Introduction-to-Arducam-Jetson-Cameras/

Once you’re on a supported release, the installer should find the right package and proceed normally.

Ah okay, that makes sense now - I got the issue. Thanks! One more thing before I go through the re-flash process: is there any release plan for the new kernel (L4T 32.7.4)? I’d prefer to stay on this version if a driver is coming soon. I’ve attached a screenshot of my current environment for reference.

Glad that cleared it up. I checked on the release plan for L4T 32.7.4 / kernel 4.9.337-tegra, and unfortunately there’s no near-term plan to release the camera driver for that kernel. So if you need the camera working now, re-flashing to a supported JetPack/L4T version from the docs link is still the way to go. Waiting on a driver release for 32.7.4 isn’t something I’d recommend given there’s no timeline for it.
