Hi everyone, I’m trying to install the Arducam camera kernel driver on my NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX Developer Kit, but the install script keeps failing. The output just says:
Cannot find the corresponding deb package, please send the following information to [email protected]
I’m not sure what’s going on. Has anyone else hit this on a Xavier NX?
That message usually appears when the script can’t match your running kernel to a prebuilt driver package. Could you post the details the script collected? Specifically your kernel version and the Jetson type it detected (for example, uname -r output helps a lot here).
Thanks, that gives us what we need. The camera driver for L4T 35.2.1 hasn’t been released yet, so there’s no corresponding deb package available for your running kernel (5.10.104-tegra-35.2.1-20230124153320). The install script is looking for a matching deb, can’t find one, and fails with that message.
The fix is to reflash your Jetson to one of the supported JetPack/L4T versions listed in the Arducam Jetson Camera documentation, then run the install script again on that version. You can check the supported versions list here:
To be clear about why this happened: the Arducam camera driver is only supported on specific JetPack/L4T releases, and L4T 35.2.1 is not one of them yet. So the script has nothing to install for that kernel, and changing the JetPack version to a supported release is the way forward. There’s no driver package to point at for 35.2.1 at the moment.
Got it, that makes sense now. I checked the supported JetPack/L4T versions at the link you posted, and I’ll switch my Xavier NX over to one of the recommended supported releases and try the driver install again. Thanks for the help!
No problem. To summarize: L4T 35.2.1 (kernel 5.10.104-tegra-35.2.1-20230124153320) isn’t supported by the Arducam camera driver yet, so the install script can’t find a matching deb package. Reflash to a supported JetPack/L4T version from the documentation list and the script should find the correct package. If you run into anything else after reflashing, just post back here.
