Camera disconnects with slightest touch to USB plug - B0288 / IMX477

I have a problem that my camera USB plug is very sensitive to touch. It feels like it’s about to fail, the camera is brand new. The computer will lose camera connection with the slightest touch to the USB plug at the back of the camera.

Is this normal? What can be done about it?

Do you have another USB cable line available? If so, please give it a try again.

I tried a different cable and it has the same problem. I think the USB port on the camera is defective.

I send a support email and never got a reply. Can you look into it please? I think I have a defective camera, I can’t actually use it since it disconnects on the slightest movement and I fear that it will stop working entirely very shortly
