B0262 camera: Rev D doesn't connect, will new orders be Rev E2?

Having a strange problem with two Arducam B0262 cameras I’ve got here. One is revision E2 and works flawlessly — plug it in and it’s detected right away, image looks great. The other is revision D and it’s completely dead as far as I can tell. Tried the same USB cable, same port, same computer — the Rev E2 pops up every time, the Rev D does absolutely nothing. No lights, no detection in device manager, nothing. Even swapped cables around to rule that out.

On a related note, I’m planning to order a few more B0262 cameras and I’m a bit concerned — which revision is currently shipping? I’d rather not end up with more of the Rev D boards if there’s a known issue with them.

Good question on the stock situation. Our current B0262 inventory includes a mix of Rev.C and Rev.E2 units — so it could be either depending on what gets pulled. If you specifically want the Rev.E2, you can request it by adding a note to your order and our fulfillment team will accommodate that. I’d also suggest sending a confirmation message after placing the order just to be safe.

In the meantime, let’s see if we can get that Rev.D working. Can you share a bit more about your setup so we can dig into this?

A couple of things to check with that Rev.D:

  1. What platform are you running these on — is it a Raspberry Pi, Jetson, or a standard x86 PC?

  2. When you connect the Rev.D, can you check if anything shows up at all? For example:

    • On Linux: run dmesg | tail -20 right after plugging it in and share the output
    • On Windows: check Device Manager for any unknown devices or errors under “Universal Serial Bus devices”
  3. Any LED activity on the Rev.D board itself when you plug it in? Even a brief flash?

That’ll help narrow down whether it’s a hardware fault on the board or a detection issue on the host side.
