Hi everyone, I’m stuck with my Arducam 2MP OV2311 Global Shutter NoIR Mono Camera Module on a Raspberry Pi 4B. It used to work on and off (pretty unstable), but after I unplugged and reconnected it, it’s no longer detected at all. I just get:
Hi, sorry to hear that. Since it was intermittent before and now it’s completely gone, I’d like to rule out the physical connection first. Could you post a couple of photos — one of the connection at the Raspberry Pi end and one at the camera end?
Also, please generate a diagnostic bug report. Reboot the Pi, then run:
I also tested each component on its own to rule out connector issues, and as far as I can tell everything is seated correctly.
For the record, I already tried switching Raspberry Pi versions and reinstalling drivers after formatting, and the problem persisted both times. It was working intermittently before, but now it’s not showing up at all.
I’ve checked this model, and unfortunately the OV2311 camera module you’re using has been discontinued. That means we’re no longer able to provide support or maintenance for it, and there won’t be any further driver updates or fixes for it.
If you want to stick with a 2MP OV2311 global shutter NoIR mono module, the current equivalent in the PiVariety series is the B0381, which is still actively supported:
